Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has congratulated Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia following his decisive victory in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) recently concluded presidential primaries.
In a message expressing joy and gratitude, Dr. Opoku Prempeh commended the leadership of the party and all aspirants who took part in the contest, praising their maturity, discipline, and commitment to a peaceful and credible electoral process.
He noted that the conduct of the primaries reflected the democratic values of the NPP and strengthened the party’s internal cohesion.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh also extended his appreciation to NPP delegates across the country for embracing a message of hope and renewal and for placing their confidence in Dr. Bawumia to lead the party into the future.
According to him, the outcome of the primaries signals a renewed mandate to rebuild and reposition the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Emphasizing the importance of unity, he called on all party members to rally behind the party’s symbol, the elephant, and its flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. He stressed that collective effort and solidarity will be crucial as the NPP works toward electoral victory in 2028.
