Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh has joined Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on the final leg of his campaign tour across the Ashanti Region, as the New Patriotic Party (NPP) prepares for its crucial internal election.
The extensive regional tour covered several constituencies, including Obuasi East and West, Offinso North and South, Oforikrom, Ahafo Ano South East, Ahafo Ano North, Akrofuom, Asante Akim Central, Juaben, Ejisu, Sekyere Afram Plains, Efiduase, and Manhyia North, where the campaign was formally concluded.
Throughout the engagements, Dr. Prempeh and Dr. Bawumia interacted with party delegates and faithful, reinforcing a shared message of hope, renewal, and unity within the party.

The discussions focused on the need to rebuild and reposition the NPP for future electoral success, particularly with an eye on winning the 2028 general elections.
Dr. Prempeh expressed strong confidence in Dr. Bawumia’s leadership, describing him as the candidate capable of uniting the party and leading it forward. He noted that the campaign’s consistent emphasis on unity reflects the party’s determination to emerge stronger after the internal contest.
