Hon. Ofosu-Adjare echoed the President’s call, emphasizing that Ghana remains firmly aligned with AfCFTA objectives. She highlighted Ghana’s sector-focused industrial strategy, which prioritises textiles and garments, automotive components, and pharmaceuticals as key growth areas.
According to her, these sectors are being supported through innovative blended finance models designed to attract investment and strengthen competitiveness.
She stressed that Africa’s industrialisation should be viewed as a viable business opportunity rather than an act of charity, noting that with the right policies, financing, and partnerships, the continent can unlock sustainable economic growth and inclusive development.
The Africa Trade Summit 2026 brought together policymakers, business leaders, and development partners to explore practical pathways for financing industrialisation and deepening intra-African trade.
