Mr Gordon Osei Marfo, Headmaster of Sunyani Senior High School (SUSEC), has cautioned newly admitted students to steer clear of examination malpractices, indiscipline and all forms of lawlessness.
He revealed that the school, with support from old students and other partners, had installed 26 CCTV cameras across the campus to enhance security and monitor student conduct.
Mr Marfo made this known in an interview with the Ghana News Agency during a presentation ceremony held at the school in Sunyani.

The 1994 ‘O’ Level year group of the Sunyani Senior High School Old Students Association (SOSA) donated 100 tables to support the school’s infrastructure needs.
Mr Marfo expressed worry over the rising cases of exam malpractice in several senior high schools within the Bono Region, which often resulted in cancelled subjects during the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
He stressed that SUSEC would not tolerate such behaviours and urged students to consider the significant investments made by the government and their families in their education.
The headmaster noted that the school’s most pressing challenge remained inadequate tables and chairs. He appealed to old students, corporate organisations and individuals to support SUSEC in meeting the growing needs of its students.
He explained that the school, established in 1960 with only 30 students, now has a population of 4,550, putting immense pressure on existing infrastructure.
Ongoing projects, including new boys’ and girls’ dormitories, a two-storey science laboratory and teachers’ bungalows, are progressing steadily. Once completed, these projects are expected to help the school phase out the double-track system by 2026.
Mr Justice Collins Adu-Baffoe, a representative of the 1994 year group and a member of the National Executive Council of SOSA, said the donation formed part of their 30th anniversary celebration. He encouraged students to prioritise their studies and use social media responsibly to enhance learning.
