An 800-bed hostel facility has been launched at Adaklu Kodzobi to support students of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS), following a sod-cutting ceremony organised by the Global Evangelical Empowerment Union (GEEU).
The initiative seeks to address one of the major challenges facing UHAS, which is inadequate student accommodation. The project is expected to significantly reduce pressure on students upon completion.
Speaking at the ceremony, attention was also drawn to the growing difficulty in accessing skilled artisans, a development that influenced the President‘s decision to introduce the National Apprenticeship Programme to equip young people with practical and employable skills.
