Hon. Ablakwa called for a government-to-government framework to ensure the protection and improved working conditions of Ghanaian health practitioners currently working or aspiring to work in the United Kingdom.
He also appealed for Ghana to be exempted from the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) and its associated fees for Ghanaian students and professionals, citing the long-standing use of English as Ghana’s medium of instruction.
The engagement was described as productive, with the Foreign Affairs Minister expressing optimism about the future of Ghana-UK relations.
He concluded on a light note, pledging to host the High Commissioner in North Tongu with a traditional meal of akple and fetri detsi should the Black Stars defeat England at the World Cup.
