The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has presented 100 bags of cement to the people of Ho-Hliha in the Ho Municipality in fulfillment of the NDC‘s 2024 campaign promise to support the construction of a community centre.
The presentation was made on Wednesday morning when Hon. Gunu visited the community with regional and constituency party leadership.
He expressed gratitude to the chiefs and people of Ho-Hliha for their continuous support and used the occasion to brief them on key government programmes aimed at improving livelihoods, including the National Apprenticeship Programme, which provides free skills training opportunities for the youth.

Hon. Gunu was accompanied by the Volta Regional Chairman of the NDC, Mr. Mawutor Agbavitor; Regional Vice Chairman, Mr. Egypt Kobla Kudoto; Acting Regional Secretary, Mr. Bright Kwashie Ege; Volta Regional DRIP Coordinator and Deputy Organiser, Mr. Elliot Wogbe; the Ho Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Stephen Adom; and other party executives.
The delegation was received by the Regent of Ho-Hliha, Ametsitsie Moses Kley, and the Assembly Member for the area, Hon. Frank Yao Awuma, on behalf of the community.
The visit reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting grassroots development and improving community infrastructure across the Volta Region.
