Two-unit KG classroom block project launched at Dzodze Fiagbedu R.C. School

The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has joined key stakeholders in Ketu North to officially commence the construction of a two-unit kindergarten classroom block with ancillary facilities at Dzodze Fiagbedu R.C. School.

The sod-cutting ceremony brought together the Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Hon. Edem Agbana, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Rev. Martin Amenaki, traditional authorities, education officials, and community members. The project is aimed at improving early childhood education infrastructure in the municipality.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. James Gunu underscored the importance of investing in early childhood education, describing it as a critical foundation for long-term human capital development.

He noted that the new facility would provide a safer, more comfortable, and child-friendly learning environment, helping to enhance teaching and learning outcomes for young pupils.

The project forms part of broader efforts by local and regional authorities to expand access to quality education and address infrastructure gaps in basic schools across the Volta Region.

Stakeholders present reaffirmed their commitment to supporting initiatives that promote education, nurture young minds, and contribute to sustainable development in Ketu North.

When completed, the new KG classroom block is expected to significantly improve learning conditions for children at Dzodze Fiagbedu R.C. School and ease pressure on existing facilities, reinforcing the government’s agenda of strengthening social infrastructure at the grassroots level.
