The Municipal Chief Executive for Ketu North, Reverend Martin Amenaki, has strongly condemned the violent incident that occurred at Ehi and assured residents that robust security measures have been deployed to restore calm.
Responding to a distress call late Monday night, Rev. Amenaki said he personally visited the scene to assess the situation. Early Tuesday morning, he led a high-level security delegation, including the Municipal Police Commander, Crime Officer, a Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) officer, and other senior security officials, to the affected community.
The team first called on the Dufia of Ehi, Torgbui Dzeble Adukpo IV, and his elders, who expressed deep concern over the attack and pledged full cooperation with law enforcement to maintain peace and support investigations.

Accompanied by the traditional leaders, the MCE toured the damaged Ehi Police Station and later visited injured police officers and civilians to ensure they were receiving appropriate medical care.
Rev. Amenaki described the visit and engagements as productive, noting a shared commitment between security agencies and traditional authorities to restore order. He confirmed that calm had been restored, with an increased security presence to prevent any escalation.
Later in the day, the Volta Regional Police Commander, DCOP Wisdom Akorli, arrived to reinforce local law enforcement efforts. He condemned the attack, stressing that such acts undermine the peace and reputation of the Ketu North Municipality.
Rev. Amenaki assured residents that the Municipal Security Council (MUSEC), together with the police, would pursue justice and continue to safeguard the area.
“We sympathise with all victims and urge the public to remain law-abiding as we work to protect the peace that defines our beloved Municipality,” he said.
