Police investigations indicate that the four are members of a criminal syndicate responsible for a series of robbery cases in Kunsu and its surrounding communities.

A search conducted in the room of Yahaya Siedu led to the recovery of two pump-action guns, three cutlasses, five mobile phones, twenty-two BB cartridges, and an amount of GHS 5,400.00.

One of the firearms, a Pardus shotgun, was confirmed to have been stolen during the robbery incident that occurred on December 7, 2025, along the Kunsu–Mankranso road.

According to the police, the suspects have admitted to conspiring to rob miners of cash, gold concentrate, and other valuables. They are currently in police custody assisting with ongoing investigations.

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has assured the general public of its continued commitment to maintaining peace, safety, and security across the region.
