Mr. Nelson Kofi Djabab, Member of Parliament for Krachi East, has applauded President John Dramani Mahama and the Minister of Health, Mr. Kwabena Minta Akandoh, for what he described as their unwavering dedication to improving healthcare delivery across the country.
He made the remarks during the handing over of a Community-Based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) zone nurses‘ bungalow at Adumadum.
Mr. Djabab noted that both the President and the Health Minister had shown strong commitment through various initiatives designed to strengthen the health sector.

The MP said government’s continuous interventions were geared toward ensuring that every Ghanaian, irrespective of location or socio-economic status, had access to quality healthcare.
“The President and the Health Minister are working tirelessly to ensure that our health facilities are well-equipped and staffed to provide quality care to our people. Their efforts are yielding results, and we are seeing improvements in the health sector,” he said.
He disclosed that the Health Minister had announced the successful recruitment of 13,500 nurses and midwives, describing it as a major milestone that would help stabilise the country’s health workforce.
Mr. Djabab added that promotions for nurses and midwives had also been regularised, addressing long-standing delays previously linked to limited vacancies.
