The Ghana Police Service has arrested three additional suspects in connection with the daylight armed robbery at a gold jewellery shop in Adabraka, Greater Accra Region.
The suspects, identified as Fatao Mohammed, popularly known as Motorway; Nashiru Abubakari, also called Soldier; and Sadick Abubakar Satire, known as 50 Cent, were arrested on 19th January 2026. Police believe the three are key gang leaders behind the robbery syndicate.
In a press release dated 20th January 2026, the Ghana Police Service reaffirmed that investigations into the case are ongoing and assured the public of its commitment to bringing all persons involved to justice.The statement was signed by Deputy Superintendent of Police Richmond Mensah on behalf of the Director-General of Public Affairs.

With these latest arrests, the total number of suspects apprehended in relation to the incident has risen to seven.
The robbery occurred on 2nd November 2024, when armed assailants carried out a daytime attack on the jewellery shop and made away with cash and valuables amounting to approximately GH¢7.5 million.
