Discussions between defence lawyers for Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, widely known as Agradaa, and the Attorney-General have progressed significantly, prompting a request for a brief adjournment when the matter was re-called before a new judge at the Accra High Court.
The defence team insisted there would be no need to start the trial afresh, affirming its intention to adopt all previous proceedings even as the negotiations moved toward what both sides described as an advanced stage.
Yet the hearing was not without tension.

Counsel for Agradaa raised concerns about media interviews granted by the complainant, Emmanuel Appiah Fumum, cautioning that such public commentary was inappropriate and risked provoking further complications if the accused chose to respond.
The lawyer urged the court to advise the complainant accordingly, stressing the potential impact on the already sensitive proceedings.
A Senior State Attorney confirmed that active plea bargaining discussions were indeed underway with the Attorney-General’s office.
The prosecution further revealed that it was considering a bench warrant application for the second accused person, whose court appearances have been inconsistent.
Responding to these developments, the trial judge directed the court registry to serve hearing notices on the second accused, Enock Owusu Kissi, while also ordering all parties to file their settlement terms ahead of the next adjourned date, set for December 16, 2025.
Agradaa, founder of the Heaven Way Champion International Ministry, and her co-accused, Charles Omane, also known as One Gig, had earlier filed a notice for plea bargaining.
Both were expected to open their defence as the case progressed. Kissi, an additional accused person, is currently contesting a ruling on a submission of no case after being ordered to open his defence.
Already serving a 15-year custodial sentence in a separate matter, Agradaa faces charges of non-consensual distribution and possession of intimate images, while her co-accused are charged with abetment in the alleged dissemination of the complainant’s intimate images, reportedly aired on Thunder TV in 2021. All three accused persons have pleaded not guilty.
