The Jasikan District Police has arrested a 23-year-old man, Innocent Owusu, in connection with the murder of his father, Peter Owusu, aged 59, at Likpe Abrani in the Oti Region.
According to the Police, the incident occurred on 30 December 2025 at the family’s residence. After allegedly committing the act, the suspect fled the area but was later arrested at his hideout in a forest at Abrani following intelligence-led operations.
Police say the decapitated body and head of the deceased have been retrieved and deposited at the Hohoe Government Hospital Mortuary for preservation and autopsy.

The suspect is currently in police custody assisting investigations.
The Oti Regional Police Command has commended the people of Likpe Abrani for their swift support that led to the arrest of the suspect. The Command has also extended its condolences to the bereaved family.
