The Western North Regional Police Command has arrested five suspected armed robbers believed to be responsible for a series of robbery incidents in Sefwi Bekwai and surrounding communities.
The suspects , Iddrisu Abdalla, 20; Abdul Rahaman Abubakar, 21; Okasha Mohammed, 19; Toffic Bawa, 24; and Richard Gyapong, 35 , were picked up during an intelligence-led surveillance operation in the area.

Police intercepted three of them on an unregistered motorbike, but the group failed to stop when they reached the Mpesiem Police snap checkpoint. They were pursued and arrested.
A subsequent search at their various residences uncovered a backpack filled with numerous talismans, a face mask and finger rings, items suspected to aid their criminal operations.
Preliminary investigations have linked all five to multiple robbery cases recorded in the Bekwai area.
The suspects are in police custody assisting with ongoing investigations.
