The Ghana Police Service has retrieved a vehicle used in the high-profile Adabraka Gold Jewellery Shop robbery that occurred in November 2024, marking a significant development in ongoing investigations into the case.
In a statement issued by the Police, a Toyota Highlander identified as an exhibit in the robbery was recovered on Thursday, January 15, 2026, during an operation at Ashaiman Lebanon. The vehicle was retrieved from its owner, Abdul Samid Larry, popularly known as “Touch,” who was arrested at the scene.
According to the Police, the retrieval of the vehicle forms part of sustained intelligence-led efforts to unravel the full network behind the daylight robbery, which attracted widespread public attention due to its brazenness and scale.

The suspect is currently in lawful custody and is assisting investigators as efforts continue to determine his level of involvement and trace other individuals connected to the crime.
