Esther Smith issues clarification on reports involving Pastor Elvis Agyemang and Alpha Hour

Gospel musician Esther Smith, through her management, has issued a press release to clarify what it describes as misleading reports circulating on social media concerning Pastor Elvis Agyemang and the Alpha Hour prayer ministry.

The clarification, signed by Esther Smith Management and dated 15th January 2026, was issued in the interest of truth, clarity, and peace, firmly denying claims that Pastor Elvis Agyemang demanded or received money in exchange for prayers and describing such reports as false and a gross distortion of facts.

According to the release, interactions between Esther Smith’s team and Pastor Elvis Agyemang, as well as the Alpha Hour team, were conducted with professionalism, dignity, and genuine pastoral care.

Management stressed that at no point was any amount requested, demanded, or charged for prayers. Instead, they noted that adequate security and support were provided throughout the engagement.

The statement further praised Pastor Elvis Agyemang’s character, describing him as consistent, accountable, and transparent, and emphasized that narratives portraying him otherwise are inaccurate and should be disregarded.

Esther Smith’s management also appealed to the general public, the Alpha Hour community, and fans to ignore speculation and sensational headlines currently circulating online.

The statement urged media practitioners and bloggers to verify information and exercise responsibility to avoid misleading the public or damaging reputations.
