The campaign team of Dr Bryan Acheampong has called on supporters across the country to refrain from insults and provocations as internal discussions within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) intensify ahead of the 2028 general elections.
In a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency on Wednesday, the team reaffirmed its commitment to promoting unity within the party and upholding the values of mutual respect. The statement followed a meeting between Dr Acheampong and Former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, where both parties emphasised the importance of peace and cohesion within the NPP.
“Out of respect for our shared commitment to a united NPP, the values of Dr Bryan Acheampong’s campaign, and following the meeting with Former President Akufo-Addo, where we affirmed the same, we will not dignify these provocations with a response,” the statement read.
