The Electoral Commission has scheduled a rerun of the Kpandai Constituency Parliamentary Election for Tuesday, 30th December, 2025, following a directive from the Tamale High Court and a formal notification of vacancy from Parliament.
The development stems from the court’s ruling on Monday, 24th November, 2025, which ordered that the Kpandai parliamentary election be conducted again within thirty days.
The Commission confirmed this announcement in a press release signed by Mr. Fred Tetten, Deputy Director of the Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Department, reaffirming the Commission’s commitment to transparency, fairness and integrity in the electoral process.

that it received a letter from the Clerk to Parliament on Tuesday, 9th December, 2025, officially declaring the Kpandai seat vacant.
According to the Commission, the upcoming rerun will feature only the three candidates who contested the 2024 Parliamentary Election in the constituency, in line with the court’s directive.
