The camp of Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has accused the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) recently endorsed Parliamentary Candidate (PC) of attempting to “whitewash” the election record of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.
According to Agyapong’s team, the endorsement appears strategically timed to distract the public from scrutinizing Bawumia’s performance and track record in previous elections.
They argue that the focus on party endorsements is being used to create a favorable narrative that ignores critical assessment of the Vice President’s electoral achievements and political decisions.

The camp stressed that Ghanaians deserve transparency and accountability, urging both the NPP leadership and the endorsed PC to address pressing questions about Bawumia’s past campaigns and governance record.
Kennedy Agyapong’s team further called on party supporters and the general public to carefully evaluate the implications of such endorsements, describing them as politically motivated moves that could shape public perception ahead of the upcoming elections.
The situation highlights growing tension within NPP ranks, as internal endorsements and political maneuvers continue to dominate discussions around the party’s strategy and positioning at both the parliamentary and national levels.
