She emphasised that the health sector requires not only more practitioners but dedicated specialists ready to drive transformation and innovation in complex clinical situations.
She also acknowledged the support of families, mentors, and faculty whose guidance was pivotal to the graduates’ success.
Professor Elvis Ofori Ameyaw, Deputy Director of the Directorate of Research, Innovation and Consultancy at the University of Cape Coast, lauded the graduates’ resilience, discipline, and ethical grounding, noting that specialised nursing is a national necessity.
He stressed that Ghana’s evolving health profile demands professionals with technical expertise, emotional intelligence, and the ability to apply new knowledge and technologies effectively.
Professor Ameyaw reaffirmed the University’s commitment to supporting the graduates through curriculum oversight, research collaboration, faculty development, and capacity-building initiatives, urging them to approach every patient with empathy and professionalism as they embark on their careers.
