Hon. James Gunu has joined residents of Dzelukope in the Keta Municipality for the unveiling of a statue in memory of former President of the Republic of Ghana, Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Gunu described President Rawlings as a great asset to the nation, noting that although he is no longer physically present, his principles, values and works continue to shape and guide Ghana’s democratic journey.
He said the statue serves as a lasting reminder that leadership founded on integrity, courage, accountability and service to the people stands the test of time.

The unveiling ceremony brought together traditional authorities, political leaders, family members of the late President and members of the public, who gathered to honour and celebrate the enduring legacy of a leader whose impact continues to transcend generations.
