The experts toured Jasikan Municipal Hospital to assess healthcare delivery challenges, a critical step in designing a curriculum tailored to regional and national healthcare needs. The visit concluded with an inspection of the proposed university site, a key milestone in actualising the government’s vision of expanding tertiary education access in newly created regions.
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency, Mr Magyigbe described Jasikan as the ideal location for the university, citing its strategic placement and government backing. He conveyed gratitude on behalf of the people of Oti to President John Dramani Mahama, Mr Haruna Iddrisu, Minister of Education, and Mr Iddie Kofi Adams, MP for Buem, for their support.
