Ghana and UNESCO have launched the Readiness Assessment Methodology (RAM) for Ethical Artificial Intelligence (AI) to strengthen national systems for safe and responsible use of emerging technologies.
The initiative, led by UNESCO in collaboration with the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation, aims to prepare Ghana for the ethical deployment of AI across key sectors including healthcare, education, and climate action.
Communications Minister Samuel Nartey George said the framework is “a significant milestone” in ensuring inclusive and responsible AI, while warning that bias, privacy breaches, and misinformation must be addressed to maintain public trust.
