Dr Kingsley Antwi-Boasiako, General Manager of Marketing and Corporate Affairs at the Ghana Ports and Harbors Authority (GPHA), has been recognized as the 2025 Marketing World Awards (MWA) Public Sector PR Leader of the Year-Maritime.
The announcement was made at the 14th edition of the pan-African awards, which celebrates excellence in marketing and strategic communications across the continent.
The award citation praised Dr Antwi-Boasiako’s leadership in promoting a positive public image for GPHA while advancing transparent, timely, and stakeholder-focused communication within Ghana’s maritime sector.

Organizers highlighted that his work has strengthened public trust in the nation’s ports and enhanced the visibility of GPHA’s strategic initiatives.
A seasoned public affairs practitioner, Dr Antwi-Boasiako previously served as Public Affairs Manager for the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) before joining GPHA as Marketing and Public Affairs Manager at the Takoradi Port.
His efforts, alongside the GPHA Marketing and Corporate Affairs team, in communicating the organization’s role in sustainable community development contributed to GPHA winning the ‘IAPH Sustainability Award in Community Building’ at this year’s International Ports and Harbors conference in Japan.
Dr Antwi-Boasiako has also been recognized with several awards over the years, including the Ghana Journalists Association’s Ashanti Regional Branch Media Excellence Award and the CENBA Africa Outstanding Industry Leader Award, both in 2023.
