Through coordinated and professional efforts, the firefighters contained the fire, brought it under control, and eventually extinguished it, preventing the flames from spreading to other rooms and nearby structures.
Confirming the incident, the Northern Regional Public Relations Officer of the GNFS, Baba Nudu, commended the firefighters for their quick response and professionalism.
He explained that the dry season often records a surge in fire incidents across the region, largely due to unsafe practices and negligence by some residents. According to him, many of these fires are avoidable if basic safety measures are observed.
Mr. Nudu therefore cautioned the public to strictly adhere to fire safety protocols, especially during the dry season.
He advised residents to always switch off electrical appliances when not in use and to ensure proper wiring in their homes. He emphasized that collective responsibility and vigilance are key to reducing fire outbreaks and safeguarding lives and property.
