Dr. Frank Amoakohene, the Ashanti Regional Minister, has commenced his tenure this year with a series of strategic engagements aimed at strengthening governance and accelerating development across the region.
In his initial meetings, Dr. Amoakohene consulted with the management of the Regional Coordinating Council, heads of departments, agencies, and institutions, receiving detailed briefings on ongoing projects, pending programmes, and regional priorities.
He also engaged former Regional Ministers, representatives of all political parties, youth volunteer groups, and other key stakeholders to ensure inclusiveness, shared ownership, and broad participation in the development agenda.

The engagements have already yielded tangible results. Monday morning management meetings have been institutionalised at the RCC to enhance coordination and accountability.
Youth volunteer groups have been formalised and actively involved in sanitation, median maintenance, and city beautification projects.
Additionally, a structured platform has been established to continually benefit from the experience and guidance of former Regional Ministers and deputies.
Expressing appreciation to all stakeholders for their constructive contributions, Dr. Amoakohene emphasized that a follow-up meeting will be convened to further deepen collaboration, sharpen focus, and accelerate development initiatives.
He reiterated his commitment to building a cleaner, stronger, and more prosperous Ashanti Region for all residents.
