Over 80 SMEs benefit from Advans Ghana’s Growth Clinic in Kumasi to boost financial literacy and business expansion

More than 80 Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) have participated in the Advans Ghana Savings and Loans SMEs Growth Clinic, a training programme aimed at equipping business owners with essential skills, financial literacy, and growth strategies to enhance competitiveness in Ghana’s evolving economy.

The one-day event, held in Kumasi, formed part of Advans Ghana’s broader commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable development, supporting key sectors that drive the nation’s economic progress.

Mr Guillbaume Valence, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Advans Ghana, said the workshop brought together SME clients from the Kumasi branches to bridge knowledge gaps, strengthen business operations, and create pathways for expansion. Participants, he noted, benefited from practical tools, expert-led insights, and peer-to-peer networking opportunities.

The interactive sessions focused on three core areas: Financial Management and Access to Credit, Business Growth Strategies, and Digital Transactions and Credit Readiness, providing participants with actionable frameworks to scale their businesses sustainably.

Mr Valence underscored the importance of vision and strategic partnerships in business success, stating that SMEs require more than just banking services. “Advans Ghana is not just a bank but a financial partner for SMEs,” he affirmed.

Beyond training, the SME Growth Clinic fostered collaboration, resource-sharing, and stronger business networks, enabling enterprises to sustain long-term growth and contribute more meaningfully to Ghana’s economy.

The event reaffirmed Advans Ghana’s steadfast commitment to empowering entrepreneurs, advancing financial inclusion, and promoting sustainable business practices across the country.
