Ghana‘s tax administration is expected to undergo significant reforms next year as part of efforts to boost revenue mobilisation and strengthen the national tax system.
This follows an engagement between the Finance Minister and the team at the Large Taxpayer Office at the VAT House, where he reaffirmed his commitment to supporting their work and eliminating obstacles that slow down revenue collection.
According to the Minister, a redesigned VAT system will be introduced to modernise operations and improve efficiency. Fiscal electronic devices will also be deployed to enhance compliance and transparency across the tax ecosystem.

Additionally, a national VAT Reward Scheme is set to be launched to incentivise taxpayers and promote voluntary compliance.
He noted that these measures form part of a broader agenda aimed at resetting the economy for growth, jobs and long-term transformation.
The reforms, he stressed, will help build a modern, fair and resilient revenue system capable of supporting the country’s development priorities.
