DCLM Ghana expresses readiness to take over abandoned Agenda 111 district hospital projects, proposes inclusion in upcoming jubilee initiatives

Pastor Dr Edward K. Tumsiah, National Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry (DCLM) Ghana, says the church is prepared to partner with the government to resume and complete several abandoned district hospital projects initiated under the Agenda 111 programme.

The health infrastructure initiative, launched during former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo‘s administration, was designed to transform healthcare delivery through modern district hospitals, each planned to sit on 15 acres at an estimated cost of about US$17 million.

Many of these projects, however, now lie uncompleted and exposed to harsh weather.

Speaking in Sunyani during the inauguration of DCLM Ghana’s new Middle-Belt Zone, which covers the Bono, Bono East, and Ahafo Regions, Pastor Dr Tumsiah said the church is ready to sign an agreement with the government to restart work on some of the abandoned sites.

He emphasised that the DCLM, as a key development partner, sees this as an opportunity to contribute significantly to national progress.

He noted that the ministry will soon celebrate its 50th anniversary and has lined up major “Jubilee Projects,” including an ultra-modern hospital and a water factory. Architectural drawings for these projects have already been completed, with construction expected to begin soon.

Pastor Dr Tumsiah suggested that if the government is unable to complete some Agenda 111 hospitals, it should release selected sites for the church to incorporate into its Jubilee Infrastructure Agenda.

Beyond spiritual growth, he said DCLM Ghana is restructuring to create more employment opportunities for young people. Plans are underway to establish a security company that will train and outsource personnel to institutions.

The ministry has also set up the Deeper Life Education Unit to strengthen the performance and competitiveness of its schools nationwide, with many jubilee projects expected to be completed by 2029.

Earlier, Pastor Christopher Ayangbefia, Coordinating Regional Overseer for the Middle-Belt Zone, encouraged members to support the execution of these ambitious anniversary projects.
