Mr Samuel Yao Atidzah, Executive Director of GOSANET Foundation, has praised health volunteers in the Adaklu district for their significant contributions to malaria prevention, detection, and testing, as well as promoting consistent use of insecticide-treated mosquito nets.
The commendation was given during a review meeting organised by the Foundation at Adaklu Tsriefe, attended by stakeholders, including staff from the Adaklu District Health Directorate, nurses, and community volunteers.
Mr Atidzah highlighted that over the past six months, volunteers visited 2,213 households on a rotational basis and reached 9,478 community members through house-to-house education and sensitisation.

Their efforts, he said, have improved environmental cleanliness and facilitated early testing and treatment of malaria cases in the district.
He encouraged volunteers to continue their work and called on Assembly members, chiefs, and opinion and religious leaders to provide maximum support to facilitate their activities.
As an implementing partner of the National Malaria Elimination Programme (NMEP), Mr Atidzah reaffirmed GOSANET Foundation’s commitment to promoting malaria prevention and elimination interventions through community-based behaviour change communication.
He also assured continued support for Ghana‘s vision of a malaria-free nation through strong engagement and partnership with the Adaklu District Health Directorate and NMEP.
