The Union of Professional Nurses and Midwives, Ghana (UPNMG), through its Northern Regional branch, has donated an office suite and desktop computers to the Office of the Regional Human Resource Manager, Hajia Abiba Alabamma, at the Northern Regional Health Directorate.
The gesture followed a needs assessment undertaken by the union, which revealed the urgent requirement for equipment to enhance administrative efficiency at the HR office.
The donation forms part of the UPNMG’s “Touching Lives” initiative aimed at supporting institutions that significantly impact the welfare and professional work of nurses and midwives.

Receiving the items, the Regional Human Resource Manager expressed appreciation to the union, noting that the equipment had arrived at a crucial time to improve workflow.
The Deputy Director of Administration, who was also present, encouraged other health-affiliated unions to emulate the example set by UPNMG.
He conveyed additional gratitude on behalf of the Regional Director of Health Services for the union’s continuous support.UPNMG reaffirmed its commitment to integrity and professionalism.
