The Asante Mampong Traditional Council has officially informed Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, of the successful completion of the enstoolment rites for Mr. Leslie Nkansa Osei-Bonsu, marking an important milestone in the leadership succession of the Asante Mampong Traditional Area.
The Kingmakers, the Queen, and the stool nominee made a formal visit to the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Monday, January 12, 2026, to report the completion of the traditional rites.
During this visit, they affirmed that all customary rituals were properly observed in accordance with Asante traditions.

Mr. Osei-Bonsu is scheduled to swear the oath of allegiance before the Asantehene on January 19, 2026, officially assuming his responsibilities and duties as the newly enstooled leader.
The ceremony is expected to attract dignitaries, chiefs, and members of the community, further reinforcing the significance of the occasion for the Asante Mampong Traditional Area.
