The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has received the leadership of the Ashanti Fashion Industry Network on a courtesy call, reaffirming the region’s commitment to strengthening the fashion and creative industry.
The Network was formed by fashion industry players following the successful AshantiFest 2025 Fashion Show and Exhibition, with the aim of deepening collaboration and driving sustainable growth within the sector.
The group has since positioned itself as a platform to harness creativity, innovation, and skills development to expand opportunities for young talents across the Ashanti Region.

During the engagement, the delegation indicated its readiness for AshantiFest 2026, expressing confidence in making a stronger impact on both the regional and national fashion landscape.
Their plans focus on nurturing emerging designers, improving technical capacity, and creating pathways for youth participation in the creative economy.
As part of the visit, Dr. Amoakohene was presented with beautifully designed shirts produced by local designers, showcasing the quality, creativity, and excellence within the Ashanti fashion ecosystem.
The presentation highlighted the growing potential of locally made fashion products to compete on larger markets.
Dr. Amoakohene reiterated the Region’s support for initiatives that promote job creation, entrepreneurship, and the expansion of the creative economy.
He emphasized that the fashion industry remains a key driver of youth employment and cultural expression, adding that Ashanti is steadily positioning itself as a hub for creative excellence.
