This year’s Avenor Tutudoza Festival, celebrated by the Chiefs and people of the Avenor Traditional Area, has officially commenced with a strong appeal for full participation from both natives and non-indigenes.
The 2025 edition, which opens with a Children’s Durbar on Friday, is being held on the theme: “Securing the Future of Avenor through Skills Acquisition, Employment and Economic Growth.”
Speaking to the Ghana News Agency ahead of the festivities, Torgbui Tali Gafatsi III, Chairman of the Festival’s Central Planning Committee, encouraged the public to embrace every activity outlined for the celebration.

He highlighted that the festival is not only a cultural showcase but also an avenue to champion youth empowerment and job creation for the Avenor area.
This year’s lineup includes a pilgrimage to Datsutagba, a community clean-up exercise, fashion show, health walk, youth forum, beauty pageant, sports gala, musical concert, and other exciting events.
Torgbui Gafatsi urged individuals and businesses to support what he described as one of the most vibrant and unifying festivals in the Volta Region and beyond.
The festival, he noted, serves as a rallying call for Avenor citizens everywhere to contribute toward the development and economic upliftment of the Traditional Area.
The celebration will be crowned with a grand durbar on Saturday, November 29, at the Akatsi Central Market lorry station, expected to attract several dignitaries.
Avenor Tutudoza is celebrated under the distinguished leadership of Torgbui Dorglo Anumah VI, President of the Avenor Traditional Council and Paramount Chief of the Avenor Traditional Area, and Mama Yeasidi III, the Paramount Queen Mother.
