The family of the late Charles Kwadwo Fosuh (Daddy Lumba) has expressed shock and disappointment over what it describes as disorder and confusion caused by Abusuapanyin Kofi Owusu and the now-dissolved funeral committee in the planning of the highlife legend’s funeral.
In a statement dated 24 November 2025, the family said unilateral actions had disrupted a process they were working to keep lawful, dignified, and respectful. They highlighted two major concerns driving their call for restraint and proper coordination.
First, some of Mr Fosuh’s children living abroad, particularly in Germany, are preparing for critical academic examinations. The family stressed that combining intense grief with high-stakes exams would be psychologically harmful and unfair to the children.

Second, the circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear. Conflicting accounts have emerged, and investigations remain ongoing in both Ghana and Germany. The family urged all parties to respect these processes and allow the necessary time for clarity.
