The Member of Parliament and Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Lawyer Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, together with her Deputy Minister, has received Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II, Paramount Chief of the Buipe Traditional Area in the Savannah Region and Vice President of the National House of Chiefs.
The engagement, described as a brief but strategic meeting, focused on agribusiness development and the value addition of agricultural produce, key areas seen as critical to Ghana‘s economic transformation and job creation agenda.
Discussions centred on how traditional authorities and government can collaborate to strengthen agro-processing, improve agricultural value chains, and promote industrialisation at the local and regional levels.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of linking farmers and producers to markets, modern technology, and investment opportunities to enhance productivity and incomes.
Hon. Ofosu-Adjare reaffirmed government’s commitment to supporting agribusiness initiatives that drive rural development, reduce post-harvest losses, and create sustainable employment, especially for the youth.
The visit by Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II underscores the growing role of traditional leadership in national development efforts and the importance of partnerships between state institutions and traditional authorities in advancing Ghana’s agribusiness and industrialisation agenda.
