The late Nana Meebo II, chief of Borae Ahenfie, along with his brother and linguist, have been laid to rest according to Nchumuru customs and traditions following their tragic deaths in an ambush on November 19, 2022.
Before their burial, the bodies were laid in state for two days, from November 14 to 15, 2025, allowing mourners to pay their last respects.
Scores of residents from the farming community in Krachi Nchumuru District attended the ceremonies, with many openly shedding tears and expressing anguish over the loss.

Bereaved family members, draped in black and red, observed customary rites as drums fell silent in mourning.
Reports indicate that the trio was shot dead by unknown assailants while working on a contentious piece of land.
The late chief had previously won a land dispute case at the Krachi West District Court, which reportedly sparked tensions within factions of the community.
