Hon. James Gunu has received a delegation from Team Volta following their remarkable performance at the maiden Ghana TVET National Athletics Championship held in Cape Coast.
The delegation was led by the Volta Regional Director of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Engr. Christian Agordah, who formally presented the trophies won by the team.
Team Volta emerged as the top-performing region at the championship, finishing first on the national medal table. The achievement marks a significant milestone for the Volta Region and reflects the discipline, commitment, and exceptional talent of the participating athletes.

Hon. James Gunu commended the athletes, coaches, and officials for their dedication and for representing the region with distinction. He described the victory as a source of pride for the Volta Region and a clear indication of the potential of young people when given the right support and opportunities.
In recognition of the historic achievement, Hon. Gunu made a cash donation of GH¢10,000.00 to motivate the team and support their continued development. He reaffirmed his commitment to promoting sports development and youth empowerment across the Volta Region.
The engagement concluded with words of encouragement to the athletes, urging them to remain focused and continue striving for excellence.
